Connect your AI assistant to JobFind
JobFind works inside the AI assistant you already use. Connect once, sign in with your JobFind account, and your assistant can search Swiss jobs, show your matches and save roles to your tracker — without leaving the conversation. JobFind speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard that Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Mistral and Grok all understand.
The address you need
Paste this wherever your assistant asks for an MCP server URL. You sign in with your normal JobFind login in a browser window; you never type your password into the assistant.
https://www.jobfind.ai/mcpWhat your assistant can do
- Search Swiss jobs — we search every major Swiss job platform, including jobs.ch, jobup.ch, LinkedIn and Job-Room — by role, place, workload or keyword. Up to 20 results per search.
- Show your personal matches with their scores and a short reason why each role matched. Up to 10 per request.
- Open one posting: an excerpt of the description, the employer, the location, when it was posted, the source and the link to the original, where you apply.
- List your saved jobs and save a job to your JobFind tracker.
What it cannot do
- Apply on your behalf, write to employers, or send your CV anywhere. Applications happen on the original posting or in the JobFind app.
- See your profile, CV or contact details. Your assistant only receives job listings, your match score and your saved jobs.
- Change your plan, payment or account settings.
- See anyone else's data. It only sees your account, and only while you are connected.
- Download the job database. Results come in small sets for your own search, and bulk use is against the Connector Terms.
Before you start
The connector is included in Plus, Student and Career Concierge Pro. On the Free plan it runs as a 7-day preview, starting the first time you connect — no card, nothing converts. When the preview ends, your assistant simply receives a message saying so. The Free plan's 10 matches a day is one shared allowance across the app and the connector.
Most assistants sign you in through a browser window (OAuth). For tools that cannot open one, create a personal access token at jobfind.ai → Account → “Your AI assistant” → Access tokens. A token is shown once; treat it like a password, and revoke it on the same card if it ever leaks.
Claude (claude.ai, desktop app, phone)
Works on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. Free accounts can have one custom connector.
- Open Customize → Connectors and click Add custom connector (older UI: + Add → Add custom connector).
- Name it JobFind. For MCP server URL, paste https://www.jobfind.ai/mcp. Click Continue if shown.
- Leave Authentication on Sign in now and OAuth client on Use Claude's published identity. Click Add.
- A JobFind sign-in window opens. Sign in and approve the connection.
- In any chat, click + (or type /) → Connectors and switch JobFind on.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web; you then click Connect next to it in Customize → Connectors. Set it up once in a browser or the desktop app; the iPhone and Android apps pick it up the next time you sign in (adding connectors directly on the phone is still in beta).
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user jobfind https://www.jobfind.ai/mcp- Type /mcp, choose jobfind and finish signing in in the browser. The status goes from Needs authentication to Connected.
- claude mcp logout jobfind signs out; claude mcp remove jobfind --scope user removes it.
ChatGPT
Custom MCP apps need ChatGPT Plus or Pro, or a Business, Enterprise or Education workspace where an admin has switched on Developer mode. They are not offered on Free or Go, and not in the ChatGPT phone apps. OpenAI changes these menus often; in current builds the path is:
- Settings → Security and login → Developer mode (on). If you do not see the switch but the next step works, you do not need it.
- Sidebar Plugins → Add (or +) → Create MCP App.
- Name JobFind; MCP Server URL https://www.jobfind.ai/mcp; Authentication OAuth; acknowledge the warning about unverified connectors; Create.
- Sign in to JobFind when the window appears. The app appears under Drafts; turn on its tools.
- In a chat, pick JobFind from the + menu. When you ask it to save a job, ChatGPT shows a confirmation first.
Cursor
In current builds: Cursor Settings → Tools & Integrations → Add Custom MCP (some versions: Tools & MCP → New MCP Server). This opens mcp.json; add:
{ "mcpServers": { "jobfind": { "url": "https://www.jobfind.ai/mcp" } } }Back in the MCP list, click Needs login (or Connect) next to jobfind and sign in. To remove it, delete the entry or disable the server in the same list.
VS Code (GitHub Copilot)
- Command Palette → MCP: Add Server → HTTP → paste https://www.jobfind.ai/mcp → name jobfind → choose Copilot Global (every project) or .mcp.json (this project only).
- Sign in to JobFind in the browser when VS Code asks.
- In Chat, switch to Agent and tick the jobfind tools under Configure Tools.
{ "mcpServers": { "jobfind": { "type": "http", "url": "https://www.jobfind.ai/mcp" } } }Gemini CLI
gemini mcp add --transport http -s user jobfind https://www.jobfind.ai/mcpThen run /mcp auth jobfind inside Gemini CLI and finish in the browser. gemini mcp remove jobfind removes it. (Custom apps in the Gemini consumer app currently need Gemini Spark, which is not offered in Switzerland.)
Other assistants
Mistral Le Chat / Work
Connectors → + Add Connector → Custom MCP Connector → name jobfind, Server URL https://www.jobfind.ai/mcp → Connect, then sign in. Adding a connector needs the workspace administrator — on Free, Pro and Student plans that is you. Under My Connectors → jobfind → Functions you can pre-approve the read functions.
Grok
In current builds: grok.com/connectors → New Connector → Custom → paste the URL above and sign in. Custom connectors are offered on paid Grok plans.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
Works through a Copilot Studio agent your IT team builds (Tools → Add a tool → Model Context Protocol, with OAuth 2.0). There is no end-user path today.
Meta Muse
Not available in Switzerland yet. When it is, Muse custom connectors hold a static credential rather than signing in, so create a personal access token under Account → “Your AI assistant” → Access tokens and ask Muse to build a custom integration to https://www.jobfind.ai/mcp, pasting the token into its secure credential prompt rather than into the chat.
Example prompts
- “Show my top 5 JobFind matches this week and tell me why the first one scored so high.”
- “Search JobFind for data engineer roles in Zurich or Zug, 80–100%, posted in the last 3 days.”
- “Open the Roche posting from my matches and summarise the requirements.”
- “Save the two product manager roles in Basel to my tracker.”
- “Which of my matches are in Romandie and ask for French at B2 or better?”
- „Zeig mir meine aktuellen JobFind-Matches über 80 Punkten und fasse jeden in zwei Sätzen zusammen.“
- „Suche auf JobFind nach Pflegefachpersonen-Stellen im Kanton Bern mit 60–80 % Pensum.“
Privacy
Connecting uses OAuth (or, for assistants that cannot sign in through a browser, a personal access token you create and can revoke): you sign in on jobfind.ai, and your assistant receives a credential that lets it search jobs, read your matches, open postings you ask for, and list and save jobs — nothing else, and only until you disconnect. Your conversation itself is handled by the assistant's provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral and so on) under its own terms, including any training settings you have chosen there. JobFind only receives the specific requests your assistant makes on your behalf, and we log those requests (tool name, time, your account, which assistant, duration, result count and a hashed IP address — never the conversation or the results) for 30 days to keep the service safe and apply your plan's limits.
We never share your CV or profile with the assistant provider through this connection, and we do not pass job-board data on in bulk — results are capped to what a person needs for their own search, and every result names its source and links to the original posting. Postings belong to the employers and boards that publish them; we index and match, we do not republish. Details are in our Privacy Policy (section 10) and the Connector & API Terms at jobfind.ai/legal/connector-terms.
Troubleshooting
- “Couldn't reach the MCP server” or “Failed to connect”: check the URL is exactly https://www.jobfind.ai/mcp, with nothing added after it.
- Sign-in loops or “Authorization failed”: finish in the browser window the assistant opened and allow pop-ups for jobfind.ai. In Claude, remove and re-add the connector — its authentication settings cannot be edited in place.
- The assistant answers without using JobFind: make sure the connector is switched on for this chat (Claude: + → Connectors; ChatGPT: + → JobFind; VS Code: Agent → Configure Tools) and say “use JobFind”.
- “Daily limit reached”: Free accounts get 10 matches a day, counted across the app and your assistant together.
- “Preview ended”: the Free plan's 7-day connector preview is over. The connector is included in Plus, Student and Career Concierge Pro; plan options are on your Account page.
- “Too many requests”: the connection is rate-limited so it cannot be used to copy job data. Wait a minute and try again.
Disconnecting
Revoke at jobfind.ai → Account → “Your AI assistant” → Revoke next to the connection or token. The assistant loses access within the hour, usually within seconds. Then remove the entry in your assistant: Claude Customize → Connectors → Remove; Claude Code claude mcp remove jobfind --scope user; ChatGPT Plugins → JobFind → remove; Cursor Tools & Integrations → delete jobfind; VS Code MCP: List Servers → jobfind → Uninstall; Gemini CLI gemini mcp remove jobfind; Mistral Connectors → jobfind → remove; Grok grok.com/connectors → JobFind → disconnect. Removing it inside the assistant alone deletes its copy of the credential but may not tell us, so revoke at JobFind first. Your saved jobs stay in your tracker.
